My electric smoker is fairly heavy and I wanted a quick and easy way to transport or move it around. The solution: building a DIY base with lockable wheels. The smoker does not actually attach to the base, but rather sits on it with the weight of the smoker keeping it from falling off when rolling. Obviously, if you want to lift the smoker up, the base will remain on the ground. But it's very versatile and has solved my problem!
