OMG. How to fix a clogged (or partially clogged) toilet? I came home from work only to see my bathroom toilet was draining super slowly upon flushing, accompanied by a soft unnatural gurgle at the end of the flush. The water level was rising, so I suspected a clog of some type. Kid's toy? Feminine product? Unknown, but something was blocking the drain. I started with hot water/Dawn (natural), then elevated to baking soda/vinegar (natural), then tried Drano (do **NOT use Drano** because it can produce heat that can crack the porcelain, produce toxic fumes if you add other chemicals later, or create dangerous splash if you plunge!). Nothing worked. I even put Dawn down the overflow tube and flushed with hot water. Finally: I taped together two plastic bathroom drain snakes and this created a DIY homemade toilet auger/snake long enough to reach through the P-trap and all the way down to the floor drain. Voila! Clog fixed! Hope this helps!
