This video demos how to remove and apply caulking to the gap where a kitchen backsplash meets the countertop. Silicone and paintable caulk was applied prior, but failed over the years, so I tried a higher quality kitchen/bath caulking. Harder to apply, but if you use a wet paper towel (treat it like grout) you can smooth out the finish and clear away the access with several passes. I applied three total layers of caulk.
