This DIY video helps you determine how thick to apply Redgard or other liquid membrane to cement backerboard (Hardiebacker, 1/2") to get full waterproofing before and under tiling. Regard instructions calls for 25 mil (dry) for general waterproofing (I'm tiling walls). So how many coats do you need to apply? How many mils is 1 coat of Redgard? How do you determine when you get to 25 mils? What if you don't have wet mil gauge? I address these questions and more. Hopefully this helps!
