We were getting tired of stuffing our bikes into the back of our minivan, so we upgraded to this 4-bike rack that mounts to the hitch. I was impressed at the quality of this rack...very sturdy and heavy-duty, but not too heavy to move around. It has a clean, modern look that puts off a sense of organization as opposed to some "sloppy" bike racks when fully loaded. In other words, it loads and holds 4 bikes really well. It even converts to a 2 bike rack if you need it to. The only possible downside is that when you swing the rack down to access your truck or hatchback, it does not lock at a 45 degree angle...and this can create a LOT of weight if you're trying to fold down with bikes on it. A DIY workaround MIGHT be (take caution here if you decide to try this...conceptually it is safe but not guaranteed) to install a chain "stopper" on the bolts themselves, which I may attempt to do later on. Overall, though, there is a lot of value in this rack and it's definitely worth the $60 or so I spent on it. Highly recommended!
